VPT SCIENTIFIC WEEK
The Scientific Week Ph.D. Benjamim Eurico Malucelli is an event of great tradition from the Department of Pathology at FMVZ-USP. The Week has a multidisciplinary character par excellence and has the presentation of several research works in Animal Science, both basic and applied.
In 1983 occurred the first edition of the Scientific Week of the Department of Pathology, affectionately called Children’s Week, in which postgraduate students as well as undergraduate students presented their work in the form of a poster. This event was so innovative that other Teaching and Research Institutions started participating this week.
In 1994, in the seventh Scientific Week of the Department of Pathology, by decision of the Council of this Department, was created the Prof. Ph.D. Mario Mariano Young Scientist Award, in honor of the creator of this Program. This award is currently offered in two areas: Basic Biomedical Sciences and Medical-Veterinary Sciences, Postgraduate category (master’s and doctorate) and undergraduate research.
In 2012, it was created the Prof. Ph.D. João Palermo Neto Award, for the best work on Technological Innovation-Patent; and the award for Scientific Photography Ph.D. Idércio Luiz Sinhorini for the best images in the Macroscopy and Microscopy categories.
This Week’s works are presented in the form of posters and oral communications, which are eligible for honorable mentions, for the prestigious Prof. Ph.D. Mario Mariano Young Scientist Awards (areas: Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine), for the Ph.D. Idércio Luiz Sinhorini Scientific Photography Prize and for the Ph.D. João Palermo Neto Technological Innovation-Patent Prize.
